Nathan Fortner

Founder and Executive Director

Nathan obtained a BS in Agronomy from Missouri State University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Plant Health at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He worked in the biotech industry for 12 years, holding management positions in agronomy and USDA regulatory compliance, which included operations in South America and the Caribbean.

Bridget VonSpreckelsen

Financial Officer and Secretary

Bridget obtained her BS degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Alabama, where she also dominated the volleyball court for the Crimson Tide. She is a small business entrepreneur, and all-around type-A go-getter. She also takes on occasional leadership roles for local community events. She offers EGX both organizational and tax compliance experience.

Roger Elmore

Professor Emeritus, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Roger was Professor in the Department of Agronomy & Horticulture, and a Fellow of the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He has also worked on international agricultural projects in Asia, Africa, and South America. Roger's work focused not only on optimizing crop growth potential, but also strategies for delivering current research to growers, an activity which is a primary focus of EGX in the developing world.

David Elliott

Belhaven Family Dentistry

David earned his DDS from UNC - Chapel Hill, and now has a successful dental practice in Belhaven NC, which he also uses to serve low income families who may not otherwise have access to dental care. He also serves on the board of his local church. Having begun his own practice upon graduation from dental school, David brings EGX the experience and wisdom from having built something from the ground up.

BJ Solander

Lead Pastor, Flint Hills Church

B.J. is the lead pastor of Flint Hills Church in Junction City, KS. He earned a BS in Church Ministries from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy at Kansas State University. He also led the development of a Chaplaincy program with local law enforcement agencies and  correctional facilities, and serves as president for a local multi-denominational church leadership organization.
